Great past week! My longest, bestest friend from elementary through high school and beyond finally made it out to the East Coast for a swing through the North East visiting long-time friends. She and her boyfriend, Alex, got in town Tuesday night. They had been up the entire night before in an emergency room in Bushwick, tending to a broken wrist. We decided to keep it local and low key, so I took them to the closest bar to my apartment, Stetsons. We had the entire back patio to ourselves - perfect for catching up over a few beers and a turkey burger!
Wednesday morning we walked over to Commissary for some brunch before busing downtown to check out some sites. We started with the White House. We then hit up the Museum of Natural History, where Leah taught me how to make
my first Vine (pronounced vinnie), which was a major fail, though I did at least get a good shot of the Hope Diamond in there! Leah is pretty much
a Vine Expert.
